Kwik Klik Slide Drop Seeder
A plate drop seeder that seeds an entire tray in seconds. Pick your tray, and the kit comes with a bottom plate cut to match plus top plates for single seeds and small clusters. Fill, align, slide, done.
- Seed a whole tray in seconds. Fill the plate, line it up over the tray and slide. Every cell gets seed at once.
- Matched to your tray. Each kit comes with a bottom plate cut for your tray: Paperpot, 72 or 128 cell, 72W or 128W, or 1020 microgreen trays.
- Singles or clusters. Swap top plates to drop one seed per cell or a small cluster. Works with raw and pelleted seed.

Which plate for which crop
Common setups from the Kwik Klik instructions. Thicker plates and bigger holes drop more seed; thinner plates and smaller holes drop fewer. Arugula, basil, broccoli, kale and turnip seed can stick to the plate, so a light spray of anti-static helps.

Which kit do I need?
Pick the kit for the tray you seed most. The bottom plate is cut to match that tray's cell pattern, so it lines up every time. Seeding more than one tray type? Add an Add-on Plate Package for each extra tray.
How do I control how many seeds go in each cell?
With the top plate. Three things set the count: the tray's cell pattern, the plate thickness and the hole diameter. A thin plate with small holes drops fewer seeds; a thick plate with bigger holes drops more. Test your seed in the included Seed Plate Guides, then check the chart above.
Does it work with pelleted seed?
Yes, raw or pelleted. Pelleted seed is the best way to get one seed per cell for crops like carrots, fennel and Salanova.
What about seed that sticks to the plate?
Small seeds like arugula, basil, broccoli, kale and turnip can cling to the plate with static. A light spray of anti-static such as ACL Staticide, wiped with a microfiber cloth, fixes it. Reapply as needed.
Which crops can't it seed?
Raw lettuce, dill, peas and unpelleted celery are irregular in size and shape, so they're best seeded by hand or bought pelleted.
Can you make plates for my trays?

How should I store the plates?
Flat on a shelf, like dinner plates. Don't hang them or stand them on edge, and keep them out of heat, direct sun and humidity. The acrylic can warp, which affects how they seed.

About the Kwik Klik Slide drop seeder
The Kwik Klik Slide is a plate drop seeder that seeds an entire tray at once. A bottom plate cut to your tray's cell pattern sits in the frame, and a top plate with holes sized to your seed slides over it. Fill the holes, line the seeder up over the tray and slide the top plate: every cell gets seed in a few seconds.
Kits for your trays
Seeding kits are made for Paperpot 264-cell trays, 72 and 128 cell trays, 72W and 128W Airstrip trays, and 1020 microgreen trays. Each kit includes the frame, a bottom plate for that tray and top plates in 1.5 mm and 3 mm thicknesses with different hole sizes, so you can drop single seeds or small clusters. Custom plates are available for other trays, including 50 and 200 cell, Winstrip, Oasis cubes and Proptek.

The tray's cell pattern, the plate thickness and the hole diameter decide how many seeds go into each cell. A thin plate with small holes drops fewer seeds; a thick plate with larger holes drops more. The Kwik Klik works with raw and pelleted seed, and pelleted seed gives the most reliable single-seed drops for crops like carrots and Salanova.
The Slide
The Slide is the latest Kwik Klik. It drops the handle of earlier versions to cut weight and simplify use. Optional spring pins hold the plates under constant tension for quick plate changes.
